UHF (868 MHz) ISO 18000

Based on transponder technology (chip and aerial assembled directly on their specific support), RFID technology allows an unique and automatic identification of things and persons.

RFID is a basic technology that can be universally used for items identification, thanks to its possibility of working without direct contact and visibility of the tag itself. There is the possibility as well to identify more than one item at the same time.

RFID technology’s core is the transponder, which consists of a microchip and its communication aerial. The microchip has a surface of 1 square mm approx., and a thickness of 0.2 mm only.

This ultra-slim transponder is designed in order to be combined with an extremely flexible support, that can be therefore inserted into an external one made with paper or film.

This is the origin of the so-called   Smart Label, that can be customized afetrwards with either with direct printing or thermal transfer.

The TAGS (or transponders) may have different shape, size and thickness depending on their application.

Today, smart labels are mainly used for goods tracking, book identification, luggage tagging, mail, sports and recreational activities.

Success percentage nearly reaches 100 % also in real life, and remains the same even with the worse weather conditions thanks to the high tech coatings of the labels.

We can shortly say that this technology will surely apply to every kind of industrial activity.
