RFID Cargo E-Label

PORT EFFICENCY AND PRODUCTVITY

Rigorous bureaucracy and meticulous customs checks often mean that transportation of cargo becomes a slow and time consuming process.

In certain European ports goods are received entirely from Asia and only MILLIONS OF TONNES of these goods are registered. At least another million tonnes pass through European ports without being recorded or identified.

ITS VERY EASY FOR A CONTAINER TO SLIP THROUGH THE NET OF LEGALITY

Each container must be numbered with a unique ID code and numbering, however there are many containers which are labelled with duplicate identification. These containers are easily and often unknowingly overlooked during the various checks at the port.

According to the customs agenciesan average of 60% of cargo escapes verification at European Customs. 20% of shipping bills are not checked and there are at least 50.000 counterfeit documents in each major port. 99% of the cases involve containers received from Asia and its estimated that these discrepancies result in

EURO 200 million of evaded taxes, every six months at each major European port...

An RFID label not only clearly identifies the numbering and ID code of the container,

but can also supply an electronic identification which cannot be modified or duplicated.
